Join us on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th September 2026, The Queens Hotel, Leeds.

We are excited to present the third annual Leeds Acute & Intensive Care Conference. Aimed at intensive care, acute medicine and emergency medicine clinicians, this exceptional programme is designed to deliver high quality education on managing acutely unwell patients.

Following the resounding success of LACTIC2 2025, this year promises another outstanding array of experts in their field, providing specialist knowledge tailored into useful, pragmatic and practical information.

Through a combination of lectures and small group workshops, delegates can expect to boost their knowledge and practical skills relevant to the management of the acutely unwell patient.

Ultrasound Skills Hub – Drop-in Practical Workshop

Looking to refine a specific ultrasound-guided procedure? Whether you’re starting from scratch or polishing an advanced technique, our Ultrasound Skills Hub offers the opportunity to learn exactly what you want from experienced faculty in vascular access and regional anaesthesia.

This informal, drop-in session allows delegates to request teaching on a wide range of techniques, including:

  • Peripheral and central vascular access
  • Midline catheter insertion
  • Subclavian venous access
  • Chest wall blocks
  • Upper and lower limb regional anaesthesia
  • And many other ultrasound-guided procedures

Faculty will provide one-to-one and small-group teaching tailored to your experience and learning objectives. With live models, high-fidelity phantoms and a wide range of ultrasound equipment and procedural kits, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to develop your scanning skills and practise needle guidance in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Whether you want to master a new block, improve your image optimisation, or gain confidence with challenging vascular access, simply drop in and let us know what you’d like to learn.

Drop-in session: 10:30–13:30 on both conference days.
